Thursday April 15. The Locarno Film Festival hosted "venture ideas", the day dedicated to training in entrepreneurship, organised by USI, SUPSI and the Centro Promozione Start-up as part of the federal programme Venturelab.
With 135 attendees, coming from various disciplines (economics, visual communications , social work, IT, architecture), this initiative aroused a great deal of interest amongst Ticino students. The large number of participants were accompanied by teachers and tutors from SUPSI and welcomed to Locarno by Supsi President Alberto Cotti, Festival President Marco Solari and Festival COO Marco Cacciamognaga. Following a tour of the main Festival sites and a general introduction to the event’s organisational structure, the students took part in a morning workshop on issues relating to Festival strategy, development and services.
The proposals developed during this workshop were examined by a jury of experts who gave a prize to the group "Sustainability" for having taken the best approach to the problems discussed.
